421 S. Main St.
Historic loft living at the center of South Main
Hotline Lofts sits at the epicenter of cool along South Main Street in Downtown Memphis. The ground floor of the historic building houses the Blues Foundation and Blues Hall of Fame, making it a prime destination for lovers of music history. But before the three-story building at 421 S. Main St. became home to the Blues Foundation, it was a warehouse originally constructed in 1912. The former industrial space was renovated in 2000, making way for a mixed-use building with ground-floor commercial and residential spaces above. Its 14 loft units are spread throughout three floors.
The long brick structure extends back from Main Street, with gated parking for residents adjacent to the building. Fronting Main, the building has large glass windows that give it a classic storefront look. The units range in size from 886 square feet up to 1,370 square feet, all with flexible loft-style floor plans. Units feature 12-foot to 14-foot ceilings, large walk-in closets, monitored alarm systems, pine hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, wood columns and ceiling beams. An on-site storage facility offers convenience for owners.
