On Tuesday, August 7th, we made an appearance at the National Night Out event at 409 South Main Street. If you’re not familiar with 409 South Main, it is a vendor based food hall that also caters to wedding ceremonies and receptions on their top floors. The Owners, They Dyers, are such generous and welcoming people. You can always find Rebecca Dyer with her beloved Golden Doodle pupper adjusting tables, putting out signs, watering plants, and cleaning up. She’s always on the go.
Tuesday’s event was sponsored by The South Main Association (Facebook Page HERE). As many of you may know, The South Main Association is a membership-based group of Property Owners, Tenants, Business Owners, etc. who live in the South Main District of Downtown Memphis. Anyone can join the group, and they are always in dire need of Volunteers. The events have a large turnout, and they can always use the extra helping hands.
National Night Out honored our Police and Firefighters. The goal is to promote “community camaraderie” and help make Memphis a safer place. Sounds like a great plan, right? Yes it is and was! And it was so much fun! See some pictures below. Business who participated in the event included: Aldo’s Piza, Carolina Watershed, Central BBQ, Grecian Gourmet, Jack Pirtles Chicken, Pontotoc Lounge, Rizzo’s Diner, Smoothie King, Two Girls and a Whip, and Charles Nardi Photography.
